Mount and cooled astro-camera upgrade (2024)
In 2024, I upgraded my mount from the Celestron CI-700 to an ultra-sturdy Losmandy G11T. Additionally, I am now using a ZWO ASI 2600 MC Duo with the Lichtenknecker Flatfield Camera (FFC) 3.5/500. Due to the integrated guiding chip, there is no need for a guide scope, which is especially advantageous for a mobile setup like mine.

The original back plate of the FFC has been modified as well. Additional screws were added to stabilize the main mirror alignment. Furthermore, the Baader UFC system was integrated, so that the backfocus distance is now 55 mm for which the FFC was optimized for. The camera can be rotated freely 360°.
